Northwestern Mutual - Northern Ohio is led by John C. Ertz, Managing Partner, and has offices in Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Toledo, Youngstown and Wooster. John Ertz knows firsthand how the Northwestern Mutual Northern Ohio helps individuals create a stronger financial future, through top-quality financial products, services and expertise. He also leads our Financial Representatives in creating a stronger community future, through activities that support and improve the place where we live and work.

Northwestern Mutual - Northern Ohio is actively involved in the Northeast Ohio community through sponsoring events for the Northeast Ohio Affiliate of Komen for the Cure. These events include The Race for the Cure and Miles of Men a campaign targeted toward men as co-survivors which offered an opportunity for men to show their support through Komen’s largest single fundraising event, The Race for the Cure.

In addition to our commitment to Komen in Northeast Ohio we are also involved with Cornerstone of Hope, a charitable organization dedicated to providing support, education and hope to grieving individuals. Additionally, Northwestern Mutual- Northern Ohio is involved with the Akron General Development Foundation as a sposor of the annual Grape Escape wine tasting and silent Auction.  This year's Grape Escape rasied $69,000 for the McDowell Cancer Center at Akron General Hospital.

Steve Forbes and John Schlifske on
“The New Normal and Post-Recession Trends”

Northwestern Mutual hosted a speaker series with Steve Forbes and Northwestern Mutual chairman and CEO John Schlifske. Forbes and Schlifske discussed the economy, the markets, and how individuals and business owners can rebuild their financial foundation. The event was part of a three day, six-city tour and saw nearly 4,000 attendees in total. The Cleveland event, which took place at the Silver Grille at the Higbee Building, had over 400 in attendance.

Northwestern Mutual hosted a speaker series with Steve Forbes and Northwestern Mutual chairman and CEO John Schlifske.
