Akron General Development Foundation Once again, in 2009, Northwestern Mutual - Northeast Ohio Group, proudly sponsored the Grape Escape, a wine and food tasting and silent auction to benefit the McDowell Cancer Center at Akron General Medical Center. This year's event was chaired by Northwestern Mutual - Northeast Ohio Group's own Jeff Wagner, Financial Advisor. The event proved a success as it raised over $69,000 for the McDowell Cancer Center, a record for the event.
